Fun, Sun, Rain, and Pain at our Annual Summer Clinics

posted in: Clinics, Events, Photos | 0

The month of August was a busy one for the Region 1 family. We had two clinics, back to back, on opposite ends of the region.

In the north, the 9th annual Seattle Clinic and Cookout, hosted by Master Mark Taylor, took place at a new location. This year we gathered at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. Our featured instructors were Master Dan Jansa and Master Mary Treacy Jansa. Although we had a little bit of rain, we had a great time training together and learning from these very knowledgeable guests.

In the south, the Lake Tahoe Clinic and Campout was resurrected for the first time in many years. This used to be one of the premier events in our region, but has not been possible until this year. Thanks to the effort of Mr. Tim Godwin and others, this event was a hit and had a great turnout. The topics covered ranged from traditional sword to split second survival.
